Glossy faceted silver sheen obsidian beads — deep black with smoky silver flashes, cloudy veining and crisp reflective facets. Available in 7mm and 10mm for a protective, polished midnight look.
Silver Sheen Obsidian is an igneous mineral, Mohs hardness 5.5.
Where it’s found: Obsidian is natural volcanic glass, found where lava cooled very quickly. Mexico and the western United States are well-known sources.
Why the colour: The silvery sheen comes from countless tiny gas bubbles and inclusions lined up as the lava flowed, which reflect the light.
