Sea Blue
Aquamarine
Aquamarine round beads in soft sea-blue tones with cloudy natural texture and glossy highlights. A calm, clear stone traditionally associated with easeful communication.
Aquamarine is an igneous mineral, Mohs hardness 7.5.
Where it’s found: Aquamarine comes mainly from Brazil, with other important sources in Madagascar, Pakistan, Nigeria and Mozambique.
Why the colour: It is a type of beryl, and its sea-blue comes from traces of iron.
Good to know: Aquamarine is often gently heated to remove greenish tones and leave a purer blue. This is a stable, widely accepted treatment.
Across traditions, aquamarine is worn as a reminder of calm, communication, clarity and balance. We share these correspondences as cultural tradition, not medical claim.
Often gifted to those born under aquarius and pisces.
Designs are handmade in Britain after ordering, usually crafted in our Oxfordshire studio within 2-3 days.
